YaoYao was established to solve two fundamental challenges in African urban transportation: high fossil fuel expenditure and rising urban air pollution.
Rather than operating purely as an importer of finished vehicles, YaoYao was built with domestic industrialization at its core. By establishing certified Complete Knock-Down (CKD) assembly lines in Tanzania, we transfer critical engineering expertise, customize vehicle suspension and battery systems for local road conditions, and create high-value green manufacturing employment.
Our integrated model pairs durable electric two- and three-wheelers with a dense, automated battery swapping network, eliminating the downtime of plug-in charging and reducing daily operating costs for commercial operators by over 60%.
